UX for AI Transformation Coaching

"He helped me grow as a UX designer through coaching me on initiatives I initially thought were too challenging. He pushed me to continuously improve and challenge myself." – Madeleine Le, Senior Product Designer

Are you ready to lead the AI-driven transformation of User Experience? This exclusive 6-month coaching program is designed for experienced UX professionals who want to elevate their careers in the era of AI. Unlike generic courses or big group workshops, this program is fully personalized to your goals and challenges. You’ll work directly with a seasoned UX leader at the forefront of AI — ensuring every session is relevant, actionable, and geared toward making you an indispensable, powerful UX leader in your organization.

When you work with me, you will be challenged to grow. You do the hard work to change your mindset and sharpen your skills; I provide the guidance, frameworks, challenge, and support to keep you moving forward. You’ll begin to see your true potential and recognize your inherent capabilities as a designer and leader. Expect a mix of strategic reflection, hands-on design exercises, and candid feedback. There’s no fluff and no judgment—just honest, direct coaching tailored to help you thrive in the era of AI-driven design.

As your coach, I won’t hand you all the answers or coddle you. Instead, I will act as your ally, sounding board, and mirror. I’ll ask probing questions, push you out of your comfort zone, and hold you accountable to your own aspirations. There is no pre-defined path; we’ll figure out the right path for you together, step by step.

You Will Receive:

  • Personalized 1:1 Mentorship: twice-monthly 1-hour Zoom sessions (scheduled at your convenience and recorded for you to re-watch) tailored to your unique goals. (Minimum of 12 sessions). You get my undivided attention as we tackle your specific UX and AI challenges in real time.

  • Exclusive Access & Focus: Only 3 participants are accepted into this 6-month program at a time. This ultra-limited enrollment means you won’t be one of dozens in a group. You’ll feel like my only mentee, with a level of support and responsiveness that’s hard to find elsewhere.

  • Actionable Exercises & Resources: After each session, you’ll receive concrete “homework” – whether it’s applying a new UX technique at work, exploring an AI design framework, or honing a leadership skill. These assignments and curated resources ensure that progress isn’t just talked about during our calls – it’s applied to your day-to-day work.

  • Guest Expert Sessions: To broaden your perspective, I occasionally invite guest coaches (seasoned experts in leadership, office politics, AI, user research, product management, etc.) to join our sessions. You’ll get additional insights and feedback from other leaders in the field. (It’s like having a personal board of advisors for your UX career.)

  • Confidential Supportive Environment: Coaching works best when you can speak freely. All our discussions and materials are 100% confidential, giving you a safe space to share challenges and ambitions. I provide a supportive, non-judgmental atmosphere and the straightforward guidance you need to grow. (Clients often note my balance of empathy and directness – I care deeply about your success, and I won’t let you stagnate.)

"He is such an inspiration to me, and it's a great honor to have worked under his guidance." – Yiyan Huang, UX Designer

Our Coaching Timeline

Part 1: Setting Your Course for the AI Era
  • Session 1: Deep-Dive Assessment (90 minutes). We start by getting to know you. I’ll ask a myriad of questions about your career, skills, and aspirations in UX and AI. We’ll uncover your UX Super-power, your strengths, and the areas you want to grow (from mastering AI design patterns to leveling up leadership skills), and unpack the challenges you’re facing. Clients often say this kickoff session alone provides eye-opening insights into their own goals and opportunities.

  • Session 2: Personalized Roadmap. After our initial deep dive, I’ll craft a proposed coaching plan just for you. We’ll outline the purpose and desired outcomes of our engagement – whether it’s transitioning into an AI-focused role, spearheading an AI product initiative, filing a patent, moving into a people-management role, or becoming a more confident UX leader. I’ll present a clear articulation of the results we’ll create and offer an initial practice or exercise to get you started. Together, we’ll refine this plan and make sure it resonates with where you want to go.

Part 2: Ongoing Growth & Reinforcement
  • Sessions 3–11: Weekly Coaching & Skill-Building. In each subsequent session (typically an hour long), you’ll update me on your progress: wins, insights, and hurdles since we last spoke. We then dive into new exercises or techniques to maintain your momentum and address any challenges. I will help you reframe obstacles as they arise – for example, if a stakeholder pushes back on your AI product design, we’ll strategize how to communicate the value or adjust the approach. Over these months, we steadily build your confidence and expertise.

  • Adaptive Focus: Our agenda is dynamic. If your situation changes or you want to explore a new aspect of UX for AI (say, designing ethical AI interactions or collaborating with data scientists), we’ll pivot accordingly. During this phase, we may bring in a guest expert for a session when beneficial – for instance, a senior data scientist to help you better understand ML models, or a product executive to role-play presenting your AI UX strategy to the C-suite. This ongoing support ensures you’re never stuck; you always have someone in your corner to provide clarity, encouragement, and a push to reach higher.

Part 3: Celebrating Success & Looking Ahead
  • Session 12: Reflection & Graduation. At the 6-month mark, we’ll pause to reflect on how far you’ve come. Remember where you started? We’ll compare that to where you are now. Perhaps you’ve designed and launched a new AI feature, navigated a tough conversation with leadership, or landed a new role leading a team – we’ll unpack your transformation. This is your chance to revel in the results of all your hard work! We’ll also discuss strategies for you to continue growing on your own and sustaining the habits you’ve built.

  • Follow-Up Sessions: Our engagement doesn’t abruptly end at graduation. I offer a few follow-up check-ins (for example, 1, 3, and 6 months after the program) to see how you’re doing. In these check-ins, you can share new insights from your post-program vantage point, and we’ll fine-tune any practices to keep your momentum going. The goal is to reinforce and deepen everything you’ve learned, ensuring your continued success. (You’ll also be invited into my alumni network, so you can stay connected and supported long-term.)

Part 4: Continuing Your Journey
  • Beyond 6 Months (Optional): Many clients choose to continue the coaching relationship after the initial program to tackle new goals as they arise. If you wish to keep going, we’ll identify the next mountain to climb – maybe it’s a bigger leadership opportunity, another ambitious project, or mentoring others in the art of UX for AI you have mastered – and then the cycle begins anew with fresh challenges. The decision to extend is completely up to you.

  • Lifelong Ally: Even if you don’t continue with formal sessions, you’ll remain part of my professional circle. I love keeping in touch with past mentees and passing along a few copies of my new books (and occasionally complimentary SXSW or TEDx tickets). You’ll always know you have someone to reach out to for advice, a quick sanity check on a big idea, or a celebratory high-five when you achieve something great. My commitment to my clients’ growth doesn’t expire when the program ends.

My coaching philosophy is simple: when you grow as a UX professional, you grow as a person. The confidence, strategic thinking, and creative problem-solving you develop here will spill into every aspect of your work (and life). This isn’t just about learning AI design tricks – it’s about evolving into a stronger leader. I take a holistic but pragmatic approach: we’ll work on your mindset and habits, and we’ll deliver tangible results in your projects and career.

As your coach, my mission is to help you identify blind spots, overcome self-imposed limits, and fulfill your true potential. I will consistently challenge you to push boundaries, because I know you’re capable of more than you may realize. Together, we’ll make sure you’re not just keeping up with the changes in our field, but staying ahead of the curve.

Why Greg?

There are plenty of coaches out there – but working with me gives you a unique blend of UX industry expertise and real AI experience that’s hard to match. Here’s why I might be the right coach for your AI transition:

  • 📚 I Wrote the Book on UX for AI: Literally. I’m the author of 6 acclaimed UX design books, including UX for AI: A Framework for Designing AI-Driven Products (a #1 new release in its category). In writing these books, I’ve interviewed and collaborated with industry legends (like Jakob Nielsen, Luke W, Josh Clark, Chris Noessel, Edward Tufte, Jared Spool, Christina Wodtke, and many others), so you’re getting coaching informed by the leading minds in UX. I stay on the cutting edge of UX for AI so that you get the latest and greatest insights.

  • 💡 24 Patents in UX Innovation: I don’t just talk about innovation – I’ve lived it. Over my career, I’ve helped create 24 patented design solutions. I’ll teach you how to approach problems with an inventive mindset and spot opportunities for innovation in your own work. If you have big ideas, I can guide you on how to nurture them, test them, and even navigate the patent process. (Imagine having a coach who can help you develop patent-worthy design concepts.)

  • 🚀 Real-World AI Experience: I’ve led or consulted on 35+ AI projects across industries. I currently serve as a Distinguished UX Architect at a leading tech company, and I’ve led UX teams at Fortune 100 corporations and startups alike. From designing AI features for industrial IoT systems to consumer mobile apps, I know what it takes to ship successful AI-driven products in the real world. I bring that hard-earned experience into our sessions, so you get advice that’s grounded in practical approaches that actually work.

  • 🌐 Industry Recognition & Network: I’m a globally recognized UX thought leader – I’ve delivered 100+ keynotes and workshops in 18 countries, and taught UX design at universities. What that means for you is: my finger is on the pulse of where UX and AI are heading. I can connect the dots for you with trends, research, and best practices emerging in our field. Plus, when you work with me, you tap into my extensive network of contacts. (Need to connect with a hiring manager at a specific company or get an introduction to another expert? I delight in helping my mentees make those connections.)

  • 🔥 No-Nonsense Coaching Style: My style is supportive but challenging. Clients have described me as the coach who gives “straight talk” and cuts through the corporate B.S. to focus on what really matters. I’m not the most touchy-feely person, and I won’t sugarcoat the truth. Instead, I teach you what works. Period. From mental attitude to hands-on UX for AI techniques for the real world. If you’re looking for accountability and a coach who will push you to reach your highest potential, we might be a perfect fit. (Of course, I’m also your cheerleader when it counts – I genuinely celebrate your wins and care about your growth.)

Are You Ready?

If you’re serious about upping your UX game in the age of AI, let’s talk. You can share a bit about what you’re working on (and how you hope coaching can help), and we’ll see if we can work together:

UX for AI Transformation Program Investment

The 6-month intensive 1:1 program is a $10,000 USD investment in becoming indispensable in the age of AI. This investment in yourself includes all sessions, materials, and ongoing support. (Compare this to generic bootcamps, which typically run $20-25K – this is a highly tailored, career-changing engagement.) That amount is payable in full on commencement. Or, you can pay $7,000 on commencement and $3,500 in 90 days. Limited spots are available (only 3 at any given time), and confidentiality is 100% guaranteed.

Executive Coaching Option

Executive coaching engagements are typically 12 months, with rates starting at $18,000 USD. They include:

  • One year of private coaching with Greg Nudelman.

  • Recommended practices and exercises to transform not just you, but also your entire team for AI-first success.

  • Personalized coaching program tailored to your specific needs and goals.

  • 360-degree feedback with board members, executive team, and direct reports.

  • Multiple certified assessments of leadership style and interpersonal skills.

  • 16 total sessions: 12 biweekly (one hour each) + 4 follow-up sessions (1, 2, 3, and 6 months out).

  • Introductions to potential partners, candidates, backers, and allies.

  • Unlimited email and text support.

  • Custom programs available.

Ask yourself:

  • What would it be worth to you to be seen as an AI-capable leader in your company and have your choice of top projects?

  • How much could a career leap gained from this program increase your earnings?

  • What would be the consequences of missing this incredible opportunity to become a UX for AI leader in this singular moment in time?

As little as a single promotion or a new job offer can provide a clear return on your investment (which often happens before the end of the program). But what would it be worth to become the captain of your career, learning not just how to survive but how to thrive in an AI-first world?
